The short version
Field Unit is built for families, so we keep as little as possible: your Google sign-in identity (name, email), the child profiles you create (a first name or callsign, an optional age, an optional note you write), and the sessions and missions your family runs. No ads, no data sales, no using your family's details to train AI models.
Children
The account belongs to a parent or guardian; children do not create accounts, sign in, or give us information directly. Child profiles exist only inside the parent's account, contain only what the parent chooses to enter, and can be deleted by the parent at any time in the app. We recommend using a first name or a made-up callsign.
What we store
Session logs (which tools were used and whether the storm passed), generated training missions, child profiles, and — if you buy a Mission Pass — the purchase state. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number.
AI processing
When you request a training mission, the profile details you entered (name/callsign, age, focus note) are sent to our AI model provider to write that one mission. Storm mode's guidance is built-in content — no AI is involved — though storm sessions you run while signed in are saved to your session log like any other session.
Analytics
We measure product usage with privacy-conscious event analytics: which screens and buttons are used, never names, notes, or mission text. Session recording is disabled.
Deletion
Delete child profiles any time in the app. Saved missions and session logs remain in your library until you ask us to remove them. To delete your account and all associated data — including missions and logs — email us and we'll confirm when it's done.
